Services Interiors & Residential

Interiors & Residential

A complete interior design service for private homes, with clear documentation prepared in ArchiCAD and grounded in the materials and products selected for the project.

About this service

A studio-led service for the whole of a home

Design Time Studio works with private clients on interior projects, from the first conversation about how a home should feel, through to a clear set of drawings, finishes and product information ready to share with the people who will build it.

The work is structured in four clear stages, set out below in the order they happen. At every stage the homeowner receives the written information and drawings set out in the agreed scope of work, ready to review, keep on file and share with anyone working on the project.

01

Stage one

Space planning & concept

The starting point of the project. A clear look at the home, the way it is used now, and the way you would like it to work, based on the project brief and information supplied. From this, a layout and a written concept direction are agreed before any drawing work begins.

What you receive

  • A short written brief that sets out the aims of the project in plain language.
  • Floor plan options that show how rooms, circulation and storage can be arranged, based on the information supplied.
  • A concept direction for materials, lighting and atmosphere, set out as a written note.
  • A review of the options together, until the layout and feel are agreed.

02

Stage two

ArchiCAD design & technical documentation

Once the layout is agreed, the design is developed as an ArchiCAD model. From this, technical drawings are prepared according to the agreed scope of work, ready to be shared with builders, joiners and other trades as needed.

What you receive

  • An ArchiCAD model of the agreed layout, developed as the design progresses within the agreed scope.
  • Dimensioned plans, elevations and sections, prepared to the level set out in the agreed scope.
  • Detail drawings for joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and any bespoke elements covered by the scope.
  • Drawing sets that can be shared with contractors and used as the basis for pricing and building work.

03

Stage three

Human-made 3D visualisations

Before anything is built, the agreed design is set out as a small number of 3D views. These are created by hand in ArchiCAD by the studio's artists, not generated by AI, and are based on the real materials and products that have been selected for the project.

What you receive

  • Artist-created 3D views prepared in ArchiCAD by people, never AI-generated.
  • Views grounded in the real materials and products selected for the project.
  • A small set of agreed viewpoints, so the design can be reviewed clearly.
  • Reference to real items available on the market, with current availability subject to confirmation.

Where the agreed scope allows, the visualisations are prepared from the same ArchiCAD model as the technical drawings, so the views and the documentation stay in step.

04

Stage four

Materials & supplier coordination

The final stage sets out the materials, finishes and key items selected for the project. Each may be listed with a product or supplier reference, where one has been selected and is available, so the homeowner, builder and joiner are working from the same information.

What you receive

  • A short list of materials, finishes and key items, with product and supplier references where selected and available.
  • Assistance with sourcing samples and information from suppliers, within the agreed scope.
  • A materials schedule that the homeowner, builder or joiner can use as a reference for pricing and ordering.
  • Continued support and information for the homeowner through the later stages of the project, within the agreed scope.

If you would like to talk through a project

A short note about the home, the rooms in question and the stage the project is at is enough to start a conversation. Each enquiry is reviewed by the studio.
